CURRENT PROJECT:

BISHOFTU WOMEN'S CENTER

The local team partnered with WorldServe International to create a community center that is authentic to this beautiful area. By working together, we can plan effectively, work efficiently, and monitor every step of the process. Through this procedure, we hope to bring about positive changes and opportunities for everyone involved. However, knowledge alone is not enough to change behavior - practice is necessary. As such, Watering Souls and WorldServe want to provide the space for women to incorporate these skills into their daily lives.

GOALS

Create a sustainable, inspiring, and safe place for people to visit and connect with others to strengthen relationships and skills.

Saving women and children time from the miles of walking they would normally do for water and now its on site, letting the children attend school and the women have time to focus on themselves and their future.

PHASES

The construction of the women's center will be built in four phases. The local design team and the WorldServe team are collaboratively working together; however, to preserve authenticity, the design will be handed over to the Ethiopian design team, ensuring effective planning, communication, and execution in a collaborative approach focusing on establishing a Women’s center that fosters positive changes and provides opportunities for everyone involved.
